The New York Real Estate Institute started in 1987 to meet the education requirements of busy people who wanted to become licensed as
real estate sales people or individuals interested in buying a home or coop or simply considering investing in real estate. It was obvious that these people had other demands such as work, family, childcare and school
in their busy day to day life. The New York Real Estate Institute came up with a novel approach by offering a weekly, rotating - START ANY TIME - course. No university, college, or real estate school offered such
a consumer based convenient approach. This meant that the salesperson candidate could start any day the course is given and finish in six days or take up to six months to complete the course. Depending upon
the location, each class session (called module) can be taken during the mornings only, afternoons only, evenings only, or weekends. The candidate can combine these modules into six days still paying a very competitive
price for the course. A full description of the course outline and requirements can be found here. The New York Real Estate Institute became an active member of Real Estate Educators Association (REEA) in order to become a facilitator of better adult real estate education.
In the early 80's New York State legislature passed a law requiring continuing education for the real estate licensees as a way of maintaining their license. The New York Real Estate Institute as now spent time and
money working to improve the teaching techniques and skills of our staff by following REEA's directions for better adult education. |
